Nikolaos Kakardakos
FOUNDER AND MANAGING DIRECTOR
Mr. Nikos Kakardakos is the founder, the president and CEO of Merit Consulting House. He is responsible and actively engaged in the overall strategy, communication, operation, and development of the company. He is also involved in managing projects for major clients, public and private, of the company.
With almost 20 years of experience in the field of business and management consulting, working particularly in the sectors of government, technologies, energy, wastes, construction, regional and local development, public / private investments and start-ups, Nikos has gained very strong experience in planning, coordination, management, and funding / financing of complex projects, public or private, using the appropriate for each project’s needs contemporary funding and financing tools, at a national and international level.
Nikos is a graduate of the university of Piraeus (Greece) in Statistics and Insurance Science and holds a master’s in business administration (MBA-TQM) from the same university.
Theodoros Kakardakos
PROGRAMS' MANAGER
Theodoros Kakardakos holds an Msc in Geodesy and Surveying Engineering and has over 15 years of experience in the fields of Geomatics and Spatial Planning. His work for several large-scale infrastructure projects as a technical manager consultant, gave him significant abilities to work with groups in order to complete effectively every stage he has been assigned to.
He has a great experience in project management and supervision of large-scale projects in the area of energy and infrastructure. During all these years in project planning he elaborated many complex seminar trainings with associations and groups of engineers. He is an expert in developing turn-key training strategies for engineers.
He has a specific knowledge on professional profiling and training seminars for engineers. He has served as member of the board of Technical Chamber of Greece.
Angeliki Baritantonaki
CONSULTANT
Mrs. Angeliki Baritantonaki has in-depth knowledge of the commercial and operational concepts pertinent to the energy sector. Prior to joining Merit, she conducted research for the Dutch gas-based energy sector, for which she was awarded with the Young Scientist Prize from the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) in October 2015. Angeliki has also worked as a renewable energy development consultant and as an energy management consultant.
She has gained valuable experience in policies relevant to energy diversity and security, in energy markets and regulatory frameworks, as well as in institutional and market arrangements for promoting efficiency and sustainability in both the energy and the water and sewerage sector.
Angeliki is a Physics graduate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, and holds a research Masters degree in Energy and Environmental Sciences from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands.
Ioanna Leotsakou
CONSULTANT
Ms. Ioanna Leotsakou is an Architect Engineer graduated from the University of Patras, Greece and holds a Master of Science in Modern Building Design from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom. Ioanna is an expert in low-carbon, energy efficient and sustainable solutions related to the construction and energy sector. She has worked as a junior project manager in various Innovative Research and Development Projects, being involved in the whole cycle of the projects and contributing to both the proposal and the implementation stage. She is experienced in data driven analysis for sustainability and strategic plans development. She has also experience in circular economy and digitalisation of construction, as well as in lean management and integrated project delivery.
Ioanna has studied, lived, and worked in four different countries across Europe which has offered her the opportunity to come along different working environments, mentalities, and cultures.
